Famaco (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Famaco mobile application and website in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and Google Play Data Safety standards.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Details: Name, email address, phone number, location/city, and profile picture.
Listing & Service Data: Professional certifications, service descriptions, and portfolio work photos.
Payment & Transaction Information: Mobile money (M-Pesa) phone numbers and transaction reference IDs. (We do not store your M-Pesa PIN or banking passwords).

3. How We Use Your Data

To register and authenticate your professional or client account.
To publish your public directory listings and allow potential clients to contact you via Call or WhatsApp.
To process package purchases and account upgrades via M-Pesa / WooCommerce.
To prevent fraud and maintain the integrity of directory listings.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data is only shared with essential third-party service providers:

Payment Gateways: Safaricom (M-Pesa Daraja API) and WooCommerce for transaction processing.
Public Directory: Information you voluntarily include in your service advertisements (such as contact phone and images) is visible to public clients searching for services.

5. Account Deletion & Data Retention

You have full control over your data and may request account deletion at any time:

In-App Deletion: Open the Famaco App > Profile > Settings > tap Delete Account.
Email Request: Send an email to info@famaco.co.ke with your account username.
Upon deletion, your personal profile, active listings, reviews, and media will be permanently removed from our active database.
